Wi-Fi Camera SH100 Nominated for the Best of CES Awards!

Samsung’s Wi-Fi camera SH100 has been nominated for the Best of CES awards presented by CNET. The category for Digital Imaging includes digital cameras and camcorders.
Since 2006 CNET has represented the Best of CES awards. The awards recognize the best products at the show, including a Best of Show award and a People’s Voice award, as voted by the CNET audience.

The SH100 has built-in 802.11n wireless that can be used for connecting to your Wi-Fi network for automatic backups or viewing on DLNA-equipped devices; connect to other Samsung Wi-Fi cameras for sharing; connect to hot spots including those provided by Boingo; and connecting to an Android-powered Galaxy S smartphone.
Outside of the wireless features, the camera is an average touch-screen ultracompact. It’s using a 14-megapixel CCD, a 26mm-equivalent wide-angle lens with a 5x optical zoom, a 3-inch LCD, and shooting modes appear to be completely automatic.

The NX100′s Leaf Design Won the PIN UP Design Awards!

Samsung Electronics Co,. Ltd has proudly announced that the NX100, a new Samsung mirrorless interchangeable lens camera, has been awarded in ‘PIN UP Design Awards 2010/2011’.
The PIN UP Design Awards is held by Korea Association of Industrial Designers. There are nine sectors including Electronic Devices, Electronic Appliances, Transportation, Home Living & Accessories, Furniture, Office Equipment & Supplies, Future Strategic Research, Environments, Industrial Equipments & Apparatus, Interaction.
The screening meeting composed of prominent domestic and foreign designers selects products recognized to have outstand designs among the submitted products as PIN UP certified designs. Among the selected certified designs, products with exceptionally outstanding designs for each sector are selected as PIN UP Gold, PIN UP Silver, and PIN UP Bronze.
Samsung NX100 has received PIN UP Bronze of Electronic Devices’ sector, which is for electronic products referring to all designs made through electronic devices and includes mobile phones, digital cameras, camcorders, laptops, digital TV, PMP, audios, etc.
The design of the NX100, so beloved by consumers, is inspired by the simple shape of dew forming on a leaf, which can be seen on the camera’s shutter button and curved body.

Interviews with Samsung Imagelogers at Photo Exhibition







Samsung Imageloger Photo Exhibition has held the opening ceremony last weekend. The exhibit hall was thronged with passionate people of photography and Samsung digital cameras. Each of them was absorbed in taking photos with own Samsung cameras to capture moments of excitation of the day. The atmosphere rose to a climax, as Samsung Imaging announced three best Imagelogers in first half of the year of 2010.

, best of the best Imagelogers talks about his picture displayed at the exhibition. “Samsung EX1 has a manageable LCD that allows to take shots in various angles. ‘Tree dreamed by sea’ is created by my EX1, making profit of its flexible LCD. I tilted the camera to capture nearer from the bottomside these trails on sand beach left by seaweeds.” Before using EX1, he had been an Imageloger of Samsung WP10, the compact water proof camera.

There also were some special guests from China: Mr. Niu Yu Long, Mr. Mu Shan Bo Nan, and Miss Yao Li Sha. They all are Samsung Imagelogers using NX10. Niu Yu Long said, “It is an awesome experience to be one of Samsung Imagelogers. I really appreciate the chance to share my photos with the public.” Mu Shan Bo Nan talked about his the camera. “Samsung NX10 is a magnificent camera that enables users to rediscover the sense of perception. NX10 has a extremely light weight and the highest quality ever.”
